You might think that I’m easily excited and you might be right, but I am very excited about the great big stitched postcard swap!

Though I’m a happy, nerdy, blogger and social media head, nothing makes me feel more loved than hearing a letter from a friend pop through the letterbox.

My parents and I still send each other letters and cute postcards fairly regularly. They’ve both embraced email and skype, my Mum’s even on Facebook, but for me nothing will ever replace good old fashioned snail mail!

Watch this space, I’ll be posting a picture of my postcard soon!

Paper pom poms, ukuleles and bunting for a friend’s video project

Sharon and Chris are the kind of friends everyone wishes they had. They accept everyone, judge no one and are generous to a fault.

Their shared love of imagination, laughter and fun is evident in their every day and they welcome everyone to join in; fancy a sing along? - see Sharon and Chris. Fancy taking part in a pillow fight in a boxing ring for charity? - see Sharon and Chris. Not sure how to correctly celebrate the Eurovision? See you at their annual Eurovision party! Dressing up for this year’s Dublin Zombie Walk - I bet you see them there! They’re an absolute hoot!

Sharon and Chris inspire confidence in all their friends, they help us be brave when times are tough, and they have such massive belief in each of our creative ability, pushing each of us to follow our dreams - to do what makes us happy.

In a nutshell Sharon and Chris are givers; they’ve brought Christmas trees for their friends, sat at bedsides after parachute jumps went badly wrong, Chris sang at our wedding, Sharon kept me sane as chief (and only) bridesmaid, they’ve helped build gardens, cared for pets, arranged surprises just because they could. The list is endless!

No one deserves happiness more - please vote them.

Polls close Valentine’s Day, February 14th

PS. If you want more cuteness here it is…

Thank you Tumblr & Pinterest Friends

What reflects must be real,
Yet this solid sight I cannot feel.
What purpose does reflection bring,
Light mirrors and echoes ring?
Are they ghosts,
Remnants of another place?
Does the past give chase?
Bouncing from surfaces,
light on glass.
Cavernous walls,
Roll echoes past.
And then what, where do they go?
Who next will see their glimpsing show?
However, now I reflect.
Perhaps they salute as a sign of respect,
For this moment lived.
Held a little longer.
Aids us to store a memory, for the future.
Yonder.

It’s been a busy year for everything other than drawing! Here’s one I did get around to though. This is a little illustrated book I put together for my friends Chris and Sharon to help them remember the day they got engaged. You can see a Flipagram of the book here: http://flipagram.com/f/gWAJiJopUC

If you like it and believe in love, maybe you would like to vote for them to win a wedding. You can vote here [Bash magazine competition]
I promise they deserve it. They are amazing people and incredible friends. Thank you
